Rare Miniature French‎ Faience Breton Lady Figural Pitcher – Quimper Style –

Charming miniature French faience figural pitcher in the Quimper style, depicting a traditional Breton woman in regional dress. The underside is marked "France". While I have not been able to definitively attribute the maker, the design is reminiscent of Charles Maillard-style Breton figural pottery produced in France during the mid-20th century. Good vintage condition overall. No cracks or repairs noted. *** There are two small areas of glaze loss/chipping with associated paint loss on the side/back of the pitcher body, which are shown in the photographs and have been circled for clarity. *** The piece displays additional light age-related wear and manufacturing variations consistent with hand-painted French faience pottery.
