Vintage Hobe Pastel Enamel Geometric Heart Pendant Necklace

Founded originally in Europe, the Hobé company became famous in America starting in the late 1920’s for creating exquisite handcrafted and hand-wired costume jewelry that rivaled fine jewelry standards. While earlier eras featured intricate filigree and sterling silver motifs, from the 1950’s through the 1970’s, Hobé shifted production to adapt to contemporary fashion. They introduced colorful multi-strand beads, rhinestone sets, and vibrant enamel geometric work like this particular pendant. Crafted from molded acrylic swirl inlaid with smooth, geometric pastel enamel panels it showcases a hollow, heart-shaped cutout right in the center, flanked by gold-tone accents that outline the colorful sections paired with a matching gold-tone snake chain that features the Hobe hang tag. Measures 16” with a 2” extender (18” overall length). Pendant measures 1.5” x 1.75” and is in overall good vintage condition.
