The album included four singles: 'Go Your Own Way,' written and sung by Lindsey Buckingham, it became the band's first top-ten hit in the US; 'Dreams,' written and sung by Stevie Nicks became the albums' only number-one single in the US; 'Don't Stop,' written by Christine McVie and sung by Lindsey Buckingham and McVie, eventually peaked at #3 on Billboard's Hot 100 in September of 1977 and 'You Make Loving Fun' peaked at #9, becoming the album's fourth top-ten hit. 'Rumours' became the band's first #1 album on the UK Albums Chart and also topped the US Billboard 200, where it remained through 1978, ending the year at #3.
