Vintage 1940s/1950s Japanese Wooden Geta Sandals ✨ A beautiful piece of mid-century history! These authentic, handmade wooden geta sandals were brought back to the US by a serviceman in the late 1940s to early 1950s. They feature a wonderful hand-painted design on the base depicting a stylized deer and shield pattern on a split blue/gray lacquered background, finished with classic plush black velvet fabric straps (hanao). Perfect for collectors of Asian art, military souvenirs, or unique vintage nursery/shelf decor. Measurements: • Length: 6 5/8 inches (Approx. 16.8 cm) • Width: 2 7/8 inches • Fits roughly like a modern US Toddler Size 10 / Little Kid Size 10.5 (though recommended primarily for display).
