This is a beautiful vintage religious plaque from the 1940s-1950s. It depicts Saint Anthony of Padua holding the Christ Child. The plaque also features scenes of the Via Crucis (Stations of the Cross) of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, with a charming angel at the top. The inscription at the bottom reads "St. Anthony, pray for us". The back of the plaque is stamped "BARWOOD CORRIGY POYNTON & CO." The plaque appears to be made of Barwood, a tree from West/Central Africa, or possibly Barnwood. This plaque is in good condition, displaying normal wear consistent with its age and use. It would be a wonderful addition to any collection or a thoughtful gift. Approx 4.5" H x 3.25" W x .25" D
