This item is a traditional Shipibo-Conibo polychrome pottery bowl handcrafted by the indigenous Shipibo-Conibo people of the Peruvian Amazon basin Cultural Heritage: Primarily created and passed down by women, the Kené designs were declared part of the Cultural Heritage of the Nation in Peru in 2008 Cultural Origin: Created by the Shipibo-Conibo community along the Ucayali River in Peru. Artistic Style: The intricate maze-like patterns painted across the surface are known as Kené (or Quenepo) designs.
