Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible piece of textile history—a genuine 4-point Hudson’s Bay Company point blanket dating between 1917 and 1929. This blanket features the incredibly rare and sought-after "Red Label" with text stitched along all four outer borders, confirming its early 20th-century origin.
Condition Report:
Wool Quality: The wool nap remains thick, soft, and fluffy. It does not feel heavily felted or stiffened from improper machine washing. The edges retain good structural integrity.
Markings:
The name "Norma Linn" is written in permanent black ink near the label and corner edge (see photos). This adds a unique touch of historical "cabin patina" and character.
Staining:
There is a very light, faint pink stain on the blanket. It is isolated and does not detract heavily from the overall rustic look, but it has not been aggressively treated to preserve the 100-year-old wool fibers. It has been dried cleaned & out away. It’s still in its dry cleaning bag.
This blanket is perfect for serious textile collectors, lodge/cabin decor, or historical reenactors who appreciate the genuine character and warmth of early century HBC craftsmanship.Item comes from a smoke-free, pet friendly environment.
