The scarf itself is beautiful and appears to be in flawless condition. Scalloped ends and delicate weave. The tag is very faded. I have included several photos for your inspection. I believe it's from Fownes Brothers, famous for their leather gloves and in business since 1777 .

Regarding the material, you can see the top line says "One Size". The next line is indistinguishable, but it looks like the 3rd line says "cashmere". Very pretty vintage scarf no matter the fabric content.
