I found them to be pretty true to size or maybe a tad small for Abercrombie. I have a pair of their Dad shorts that I was looking to replace but the style of these is different than that one. I can take measurements and post them in a bit

I'd say a 6. The loose fit runs through the thigh area but the waist runs true to size
