Vintage 80s Midi Dress In 1950s Style Pleated Puff Sleeve

This is a Vintage Sharon Dee of Dallas dress from the 1980's. This dress was likely modeled after dresses of the 1950s as it has a retro feel to it. Women were finally in the work place in the 80's but they couldn't wear their acid wash to work...so the casual workwear was born. This dress features classic 50s details and also has many of the qualities found in the 1980;s dresses like the puff sleeves and the pattern mixing. Polka dots or stripes mixed with a bright bold floral is something you find in this time period. This dress features a wide boat neck and a relaxed fit. The bodice of the dress is rather relaxed and then there is a tie at the waist. The dress gathers at the waist and then fans out into a midi flare skirt. The skirt has beautiful pleating which also adds a touch of class to the dress. On most people the dress will fall just below the knee. The dress has beautiful three quarter length full puff sleeve. It is clear that the designmer really thought through the design and tried add some glam to this basic dress. We don't see such attention to detail in most of our moden clothing.
