This antique divided-back postcard features a colorful comic illustration by artist Clare Victor Dwiggins (Dwig), published by Raphael Tuck & Sons and printed in Saxony. The scene shows a character opening the "treasure cave," paired with the caption "Smile is the 'Open Sesame' of the treasure cave," all framed by a red stitched border design typical of Tuck's decorative series.
The reverse carries a handwritten message and a Butter-Krust Bread advertising stamp, adding a nice touch of vintage advertising ephemera to the card.
