This decorative piece has a domed glass top and felt bottom and was likely used as a tobacco or cigar tray display in a smoking room, saloon, or barbershop in the early 1900s. One of the bands features President William H. Taft, helping date the piece to the early 20th century. The interior shows numerous ornate cigar band graphics including crests, shields, portraits, and decorative tobacco advertising artwork.
