found_things@sac80 Hey! It does smell like detergent. What I can do is re-wash it with unscented detergent. If you buy it, I'd be happy to do that for you :)

sac80@found_things Thank you! My worry is that the detergent may not come out. I have sometimes had Posh purchases that were really strong smelling and I couldn't figure out how to get the smell out and I had to throw them out. None of this is intended to be rude, btw, I just don't know how strong it is over the internet. Would you be willing to share the detergent brand and the smell so I can google if folks have had luck de-scenting it so to speak?

found_things@sac80 I understand. Problem is I don't know what kind of detergent it is. How about I clean it this weekend, and I message you whether I was able to get the scent out or not. (My detergent is Nellies laundry soda fyi). If it's still available and I get the scent out it's yours to purchase.

sac80@found_things Thanks so much for your message! I wasn't trying to ghost you. I'm getting bad headaches these days and have days I need to hide a bit. I could do $45 on this item if you are able to get the scent out. I'm not trying to be cheap with you. It's just a bit of a gamble for me regarding the smell. Is it quite strong or only when you put your face up to it? Also, what does the fabric feel like?

found_things@sac80 Hey, slinky is a good way to describe it. Fabric is smooth and cool. Scent is only when I put my face up to it. The lowest I can do is $50. I'm hoping to do laundry tomorrow. :)

sac80@found_things Hi there, thanks for your willingness to work with me on this. Obviously l don't want to give you too much work, but something that has worked for me is to simply soak an item in a bucket with a few tsp of enzyme free soap, then pour it off, and I do it a few times then just hang dry so the smell kind of dissipates instead of baking in. Also if you can let me know if it's a very strong, medium or mild smell I can decide whether I can soak it out myself. Thank you!
