Lot of 24 vintage color snapshots (3.5x5") documenting a 1974 San Francisco vacation, many with matching photo-lab date stamps ("19 74") on the borders. The set follows a clear travel narrative: driving views with a highway sign for San Francisco/Redding and the Golden Gate Bridge girders; the Palace of Fine Arts rotunda; Fisherman's Wharf with the readable "Bianco's Hand Spun Glass" storefront awning; a busy Chinatown street on Grant Avenue with legible signage for the Republic Hotel and Kan's Cantonese Restaurant; the Powell & Hyde cable car turnaround; the Fairmont Hotel with vintage taxis; and an extended sequence aboard a bay ferry/tour boat past Alcatraz Island, Angel Island (with a partially legible "Angel Island State Park" sign), the Golden Gate Bridge, and the SF skyline including the Transamerica Pyramid. Candid shots include a couple at the ferry rail, a woman in a red coat by Alcatraz, and tourists on deck with cameras. Prints are color, consistent with 1970s Kodak stock; several show typical magenta/pink fading, one is notably faded and one blurry car-window shot is soft/overexposed - image quality ranges from strong to poor across the lot (see photos). No handwritten captions on the prints themselves, but signage throughout confirms locations. Associated with the estate of USAF Col. Patricia Jane Harrington.
