Lot of 11 vintage color aerial photographs, 6x4 inches, taken from an aircraft window/cockpit during what appears to be a military overflight of the Balkans, likely Bosnia-Herzegovina, circa mid-1999. Views include a river town nestled at the base of a rocky mountain (possibly the Neretva River valley near Mostar), winding switchback mountain roads, a river gorge opening into farmland, cloud-wrapped forested peaks, a hazy cityscape with high-rise apartment blocks possibly Sarajevo, rural valleys with haystacks and scattered farmhouses, and a broad agricultural valley with orchard rows below karst mountains possibly Montenegro. Several images show the aircraft window or cockpit edge in frame, confirming an in-flight vantage point. No captions or text on the photos; locations are visually estimated and unconfirmed. Print quality varies from good to fair, with some atmospheric haze and softness typical of in-flight photography; no major creases or tears noted. A related photo in the group bears a handwritten '07/99' date marking on the back. Photos are associated with the estate of USAF Col. Patricia Jane Harrington, suggesting they document a NATO-era aerial mission over the Balkans. A cohesive set well suited for military aviation, Balkans history, or NATO operations collectors. Please review photos for condition.
