Estate Photo Album (from the Estate of US Air Force Col. Patricia Jane Harrington) documenting the Harrington family of Charleston, West Virginia, 1972-1973. Mix of color and black-and-white photos, each extensively captioned in period handwriting with names, locations, and dates. Subjects include a May 1972 family gathering in Charleston with named relatives Ron, Ken, Christie, Vicki, Carol, Steve, Scott, Mom and Dad; a July 1972 tour group photographed at a rectory in Swanmore, Hampshire, England; and an extensive Christmas 1972 sequence showing gift-opening (including a child's toy pilot outfit and fireman hat), a Jumporene trampoline session, kitchen and fireplace scenes, a woman playing piano, laundry-hanging, a full family group portrait around the Christmas tree naming all the Harringtons, and visits to neighbors Sandy Tinney and Mrs. Tinney on Wyoming Street. One frame shows a United Airlines jet on the tarmac, possibly Kanawha Airport, Charleston. Captions include humorous asides such as "Even if I can't play, I can show my legs!" and "Get Him off". Condition is generally good with typical age-related fading on some color prints; quality noted as 3-4 across pages. Associated with the Harrington family of Charleston, WV. Given the depth and continuity of handwritten captions naming individuals, dates, and locations across pages, this album is recommended to be sold as an intact lot. Please review photos for condition.
