Plus Size 40s STYLE Rayon Dress with Dolman Sleeves - 80s Vintage

Look again! First of all, to be extremely clear at the outset, this is a 40s “style” dress , it is not from the 40s, but it can fool anyone! The 80s had some great 40s reproductions as did the 70s. This is a pretty amazing 40s repro. It's all Rayon too, but not cold touch, it's very soft. The crazy abstract print is a bit atomic looking. At close inspection, it looks like it has smudges but these are part of the print. Color would be called ''periwinkle'', or lavender blue. Short Dolman sleeves, shoulder pads, too. It's double breasted and closes with 4 buttons in front. The skirt is a wonder! HALF pleated, just like a lot of 40s dresses. Add to that mid calf length and you have late 40s style. Wide waist has belt loops in center. Options: you can remove them or wear with a thin belt. This from the early 80s. Best of all, it's not small!
