Lot of 15 original vintage color photographs documenting a visit to a South Korean textile weaving mill, believed to date from the late 1970s.
The photographs show the interior of a large industrial textile factory, including rows of power looms, yarn and thread machinery, large rolls of white fabric, Korean women operating equipment, a uniformed Western visitor touring the production floor, and groups of factory employees gathered outside wearing matching yellow hats. One piece of machinery is marked "Kanamaru."
The photographs were found with an album label reading "National Assembly Building," although the scenes themselves appear to document a textile factory visit rather than the South Korean National Assembly complex. The label may have referred to another stop on the same trip or may have been misplaced.
Each photograph measures approximately 4 7/8 x 3 1/2 inches and has rounded corners.
Condition varies, with age-related fading, reddish or pink color shifting, light scratches, dust, surface wear, and occasional photographic or processing imperfections. The first photograph has a small area of loss or damage near the upper-left corner. Please examine all photographs carefully. Sold together as one original period lot and as found.
