Lot of 12 original vintage color photographs believed taken during a circa-1970s visit to Jinju, South Korea. Identifiable views include Jinjuseong Fortress/Jinju Castle, Chokseongnu Pavilion, Uigisa Shrine honoring Nongae, a Jinju Castle tourist map, the Namgang River, the old Jinju Bridge, riverbank activity, and a local street/business scene. Several images show residents gathered in the shallow river, possibly washing or working, providing an uncommon view of everyday life as well as well-known historic sites.
Each rounded-corner photograph measures approximately 4.875 x 3.5 inches.
Acquired from the Douglasville, Georgia estate associated with retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Patricia J. Harrington. Surviving AAFES photo-lab paperwork connects the collection with the 51st Composite Wing at Osan Air Base. Exact photographer and date are unknown.
Condition includes fading, pink/red color shift, light scratches, surface wear, occasional blur or overexposure, and other age-related imperfections. Please review all photographs carefully. Sold together as one lot.
