Vintage Collection of 37 Wooden Spools of Thread and Stacking Trays Related to cost, in the early 1970’s, thread spool manufacturers discontinued wooden spools and only offered plastic spools. These are collector's items. Amazingly the thread remains extreemly strong. These were handed down to me from my Great Grandma Ida. Lot includes 36 inch high wooden spools of thread, 34 of the wooden spools still have thread, 1 empty wooden spool 1.625" height x 1.125" in diameter, 29 spool toppers, and two stacking trays for the smaller spools Bel-waxed Mercerized Cotton 15¢ spools ...
