ZANDRA RHODES Rare '80s Jacquard Suit w/Velvet Lapels & Long Black Fringe, SZ SM

This two-piece ensemble by renowned British designer Zandra Rhodes is crafted in a richly woven jacquard fabric in shades of orange, bronze, black, and even a little chartreuse green and grey. The fitted jacket features an black velvet shawl collar, bold puffed shoulders, and a dramatic cascade of long back fringe that trims the hemline. The jacket's asymmetrical closure is accentuated with a soutache-covered button and loop, and the matching pencil skirt creates a cohesive silhouette. Fully lined.  Labeled "Zandra Rhodes, London" and "Made by Hand in England." The fabric is labeled 82% acetate, 10% Cotton, and 8% Rayon (the velvet collar). Labeled UK size 6 and US size 8. However, this is a vintage suit, and is closer to a US size 4. Review the photos carefully because they too are part of the description. JACKET MEASUREMENTS* - Shoulder width is 16" - Chest is 39" - Waist is 31" - Sleeve length is about 23" - Length is 22" down center back excluding collar and fringe. - Length is 28" with fringe. SKIRT MEASUREMENTS* - Waist is 26" (There are waist darts that could be opened to make the waist larger.) - Hips are 36" at 8-9" below waist. - Length is 25.5" *Do not rely only on the size label or estimatedsize to determine fit. Always compare the measurements with those of a similar garment that fits you. CONDITION Both pieces are in excellent condition with no apparent flaws. We replaced the braided cord loop for the soutache button that had frayed from normal use.
