Clear Crystal Statement Necklace *This item is in excellent vintage condition. There are no missing beads or defects. It was purchased at an Estate Sale for a local Naples resident who was selling her costume jewelry collection. This beautiful and sparkling statement necklace has a brilliant chic look as well as reminded our team of the television legend who strongly supported women's rights. Lucille Ball was born in 1911 and was best known for starring in the sitcom series 'I Love Lucy' with her husband, Desi Arnez. Lucille was not only an American actress and pioneer in comedy, but also a business woman who broke barriers in the entertainment business. In a famous Hollywood theatre school, at the age of 14, her instructors said that she lacked talent and so she went on to start work as a model at the age of 21 then moved to Hollywood, CA at 22. Lucille met Desi Arnaz on a movie set she was working on. They went on to create Desilu Productions which transformed the the way studios created and produced movies and television shows, like filming in front of a live audience. Although a very powerful couple, they divorced in 1960 and Lucille went on to buy Desi out of his share in the Desilu studio. Here, in this ShoppeGigi product video, we chose to create it using images from Lucille in the movie 'Dance, Girl, Dance' where we see her wearing layers of necklaces in a historically famous scene.
