1960’s Hannah Troy Cocktail Gown

This is a Vintage 1960s Hannah Troy black evening dress. Beautifully minimalist, with a classic empire waist and elegant column silhouette. The floor length dress features a side bow tie detail at the waist for subtle shaping and visual interest. Open back silhouette with wide straps and a cleverly constructed snap-on back bodice panel at the empire waist for a smooth, elegant fit. Timeless, chic, and very Audrey Hepburn–inspired. Circa 1963–1965, with a ILGWU union tag and internal factory production tag (seamstress was named Pearl ☺️). Talon Zipper. Fiber content/care tags were not required until the early 70’s, but this feels like rayon crepe, and it has some weight to it. Fully Lined. Measures 16.5” underarm to underarm (has a tiny bit of stretch— shown on my dress form with a 34” bust with A/B cup), 15” across the waist and 49.5” long. Perfect for formal events, cocktail parties, vintage weddings, or classic black-tie styling. EUC.
