Simon Pearce was born in London and moved to Ireland at age 4 where his family started a pottery studio. Pearce mastered pottery but decided to travel the globe and learn how to make high quality glassware from some of the world’s masters. He opened his first glass studio in Ireland but was eventually disenchanted with all the government interference so he relocated to Vermont in 1981. For over 40 years, Simon Pearce has been producing the finest quality lead-free crystal glassware in the United States. Pearce creations have been given as gifts to visiting foreign dignitaries as well as to presenters at the Academy Awards.
The Meriden collection was introduced in 2008 and discontinued in 2015, making these popular little creamers more difficult to find with every passing year. It measures 4.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide and is in excellent condition with just a few light scratches on the bottom. The creamer has the four-leaf clover pontil mark on the bottom as well as the acid-etched Simon Pearce logo (see photo).
