Excellent condition, authentic UNITED CUTLERY JAPAN UC328 "IRON CROSS" DAMASCUS KNIFE W/LEATHER SHEATH. They were made in 1980 and early 1990’’ in Seki, Japan by masters in their field and it shows on any level. . The blade was made from stainless steel not a traditional high-carbon forge, this reveals the blade is made from a custom-etched pattern-welded stainless Damascus (often referred to as stainless "Damasteel" style or etched Damascus in vintage production). This gorgeous Knife measures approx. 141/2" long, with a blade that measures approx. 9 7/8" long. The acid-etched Damascus stainless steel double-edged blade has a bone handle and nickel silver cross guard with marking “United", and "UC328/ Stainless/ Steel/ Japan" on the other side. The knife from that ear made in Japan are very sought after, this was made during Japan golden era with precision, quality and craftsmanship by the best called just to do that. The knife has no marks, chips, just perfect comes with the leather pouch. Very collectible item and still practical.
