She founded her company, Vera Industries, in 1942 with her husband, George Neumann, and her designs were inspired by the Bauhaus philosophy of combining art, craft, and industry. Her work, which often featured colourful floral and nature-themed patterns, was used on a wide range of products, including scarves, tablecloths, and other linens.
