Up for sale is a stunning, authentic Herend Hungary Teapot in the timeless Cornflower Blue Garland (PBG) pattern.
Heritage & Style:
The Blue Garland pattern is a classic of European porcelain, designed in an 18th-century French style that was famously a favorite of Marie Antoinette. It features an elegant, minimalist chain of vibrant blue cornflowers linked by a delicate pink ribbon garland. This teapot is the classic "bullet" form (model 3404), known for its balanced, graceful proportions.
The Rare Rabbit Finial:
What makes this piece truly special is the hand-painted rabbit finial on the lid. While rose and butterfly knobs are standard, the rabbit is a highly collectible variation. This particular bunny is accented with 24k gold and is in perfect condition.
Condition Report:
This teapot is in excellent vintage condition. It has been meticulously cared for and shows no signs of chips, cracks, or crazing. The delicate ears of the rabbit are fully intact, and the gold gilding shows virtually no wear. Stamped on the bottom with the blue Herend shield and the specific marks "3404/PBG" and "E94" (dating it to 1994).
Length: 8.5 inches (Spout to Handle)
Height: 5.5 inches (To top of Rabbit finial)
