Vintage LV speedy 25. A classic. This speedy does have some wear/damage.
*Vachetta leather is darkened.
*The top zipper fabric is ripped. Zipper closes and functions.
* The leather pull tab on the zipper is broken off.
* One rivet is missing inside for the handle. It is still on the outside of the bag and doesn’t affect wear or function, in my opinion. Please see photos.
* Hardware has some tarnish.
The bag itself, inside and out are clean. No rips or stains of the canvas. In my opinion, this bag can absolutely be carried as-is.
Speedy 25’s sell for $800+. Mine is discounted to account for the zipper. I got a quote from LV for replacement and it was $295. I am asking $500, so even if you go through with replacement, it costs less than stained bags.

@carolynnk8 are you able to upload proof that LV assessed the bag and quoted you 250 for the zipper on this particular bag? That should at least help with authenticity since LV doesn't typically respond to email or submitted repair request if it's fake .... they just don't out right say "it's fake!" if that makes sense. Thanks.

@vintageplum Right. I mean I have the COA shown but I can also add the assessment for repair from LV. You are correct that I also had to provide photos to LV in order for them to provide a quote for repair.

@carolynnk8 I meant the full email that includes the photo's you sent to them?? They may have changed things now where you only select the bag type?? Before it was a full email extensive with full pictures of absolutely every angle inside outside leather tabs rivets serial code, etc..everything lol. Thanks.

@vintageplum It’s all done via the app now. You submit photos in there and in a few days the get back with the quote. There are no emails anymore. At least that’s not what I did.

@carolynnk8 I see yes I get that , but there's still a trail of pics submitted. Respectfully, that document does't confirm anything because it's not showing this bag here or any bag at all...pcs of actual bag etc. Just wanted to be clear so that others reading don't misunderstand and think I'm further authenticating it with what I said. I'm sure you understand. :-)

@vintageplum I understand what you are asking for. The app submission process doesn’t keep the paper trail like the email one used to. I am familiar with the process. In the app, you submit photos and they are gone. If they require additional, you go through the app. There is no way of seeing what you submitted, after it was provided.

@vintageplum But also, I have a third party COA in the photos here. And the bag is listed at $500, so it can go to posh. And, as I have shown, I am more than happy to add photos so anyone can get their own COA before purchasing so they can feel comfortable and confident in their purchase from me.

@carolynnk8 Oh, yes I got that impression. Honestly, that's why I comfortably said what I said. And prefaced with "I;m sure you understand". I can tell the difference between sellers who get upset at questions but still want buyer to stop hundreds or thousands even and those sellers who welcome them because they have absolutely NOTHING to hide! :-) I got the impression you're the latter, lol. I just didn't want to confuse anyone with my comments based on old LV ways.
