Vintage Arita Yaki Shoho Blue White 5" Plate Geometric Shippo Hanabishi Japan

Vintage Japanese Arita-yaki 5" small plate by Shōhō Kiln (昭峰). Mid-to-late 20th c. Hand-painted cobalt blue underglaze (sometsuke) features an asymmetrical split geometric design with Shippo (interlocking circles) and Hanabishi (flower diamond) patterns. Finished with a scalloped edge and traditional iron-brown glazed rim (kuchiben). Signed on base with blue square cartouche. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Perfect as a trinket dish or sauce plate. Approx. 5” (12.5 cm).
