1980s Myott Meakin Blue Onion Nordic Set of 4 Cereal Individual Size Bowls 6.5"

Offered here are reissues of the popular Blue Onion or Nordic pattern by Myott-Meakin, made in England. The "Fine Tableware" era per the backstamp designates them to the 1980s. While the design mimics antique hand-engraved transferware, 1980s dishes were engineered to more meet the demands of modern households. The glazed composition is typical of mid-to-late 20th-century pottery meant to withstand stronger modern dish detergents. Care: Though they can handle regular dishwasher cycles, frequent dishwasher use can slowly dull the finish. To keep them looking pristine, opt for a gentle cycle or handwashing. The blue underglaze does not contain metallic gold or platinum, which means no sparks in the microwave, but should be used only for reheating/short cycles. Condition: Excellent with no cracks or chips. They don't appear to have been used much as the glaze is shiny & no utensil marks are noted.
