This item is a vintage Federal Glass "Madrid" pattern covered butter dish (often collected as depression glass or part of the 1970s "Recollection Series" reissue by Indiana Glass). “Madrid” (features an elegant, scrolled filigree and floral design.) Beautiful Aquamarine/Ice Blue color. Two-piece set including a round domed lid with a round finial handle and a matching scalloped-edge base plate. The original "Madrid" mold was produced by the Federal Glass Company between 1932 and 1939 during the Great Depression era. In the 1970s, Indiana Glass acquired the molds and reproduced the pattern under the name "Recollection,"
