An extraordinary one-of-a-kind wearable art jacket, entirely handmade and built from hundreds of small hand-painted and monoprinted fabric tabs, shingled in overlapping rows like feathers, scales, or layered petals across the body and sleeves. Each tab carries its own painted color and many hold delicate pressed-leaf and botanical prints, so the surface shifts through soft teal, rose, lavender, sage, ochre, and slate as it catches the light. The base fabric and interior are hand-painted as well, in a scribbled wash of pastel color, making the piece beautiful inside and out. It has an open front, long sleeves finished with soft knit ribbed cuffs, and pockets. The raw, lightly frayed edges of the tabs are intentional and part of the organic, textural design. The fabric is unmarked but appears to be cotton or a cotton blend.
