drpotts@realthingdenny It’s doesn’t feel like rubber- it’s not soft. It’s possibly leather, but I would guess it’s a composite. Sorry I’m not 100% certain

You can confirm this by looking at specific visual features on the bottoms of these vintage Wrangler boots:Natural Wearing Pattern: The black finish has worn away in the high-friction areas (the ball of the foot), exposing the lighter, fibrous tan color of the raw cowhide leather underneath.
