Vintage Burberry Ainsley mega check cross body messenger bag canvas leather

Vintage Burberry Ainsley mega check cross body messenger bag, canvas with leather trim. The Ainsley bag was discontinued in 2017. The "Mega check" began production in 2000 when the new director Christopher Bailey was hired to save the brand. There for the Ainsley bag was produced from 2000 - 2017, making this bag potentially vintage. Vintage bags don't necessarily have serial numbers and the Ainsley bag was manufactured in China. There are no Ainsley bags currently available to purchase on resale platforms. The Ainsley sold retail for $600 Canadian in the early 2000's. Currently similar messenger bags sell for $1,000-$3,000 Can. on the Burberry site. Construction (according to content tag which is located in side pouch): Outer - 44% Cotton/56% Jute Lining - !00% Cotton Trim - 100% Leather The strap is webbed and is flat and substantial at 1 1/2" inches wide, it is adjustable, see measurements. The main body has a zip closure with leather pull. There is an outside pouch with similar zip closure and leather pull tab. The zippers are in excellent working condition showing some patina which I did not remove, in order to allow new owner to address as they wish. The hardware is made from "gun metal" and is substantial. Measurements: Width - 11" inches Height - 11 1/2" inches Handle (adjustable range) - 33" inches long to a maximum of 54" inches long This bag does show some signs of wear on corners, as seen in photos.
