This is the catch of the day! This mid century tackle box overflows with nostalgia. Owned by an avid fisherman who bought high quality gear for his passion of fishing the lakes in Washington State back in the late 60’s through the 90’s. Manufactures like Heddon, Arbogast and Shakespeare are just a few of the brands hidden inside this time capsule. To lure you in I’ve lightly cleaned each item and added several pics of everything that is included with this amazing bundle.
This iconic vintage tackle box is made by Midwest Manufacturing Company UMCO Corporation, which originally began manufacturing these aluminum storage boxes in 1947 out of Spring Park, Minnesota.
Constructed from lightweight, embossed, rustproof aluminum with a plastic and metal top handle.
This model named 1000 features two distinctive front tension latches and an oval metallic logo badge right below the handle grip. Inside, these boxes typically utilize a multi-tier cantilever tray design lined with plastic dividers to keep lures organized.
Widely considered the "gold standard" of tackle boxes during the 1950s and 1960s, these are popular collector items today for both fishing historians and vintage decor enthusiasts.
