Vintage West German Salt-Glazed Stoneware Lidded Punch Bowl / Tureen

Johann Bürgel heavy-duty vintage German stoneware punch tureen (Bowletopf). This traditional piece is perfect for serving holiday Glühwein (mulled wine), chilled fruit punch, cider, or hot soups. Features a gorgeous, highly detailed Jagdmotiv (hunting/forest scene) showcasing a prominent roaring forest stag, grazing deer, and dense woodland scenery. The matching lid is bordered by relief-molded oak leaves and acorns, topped off with a large, distinctive pinecone finial handle. Includes heavy-set side handles for secure carrying and a built-in ladle notch cutout on the rim of the lid. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or structural damage. The interior shows light, authentic glaze crazing consistent with its age, adding beautiful vintage character.
