This vintage 1930s British ceramic pitcher and wash basin bowl set features a beautiful floral rose design in the Art Deco era. Made in Staffordshire, England, the set includes a pitcher and basin with a beige color and glossy finish. The Victorian style and farmhouse theme make it a charming addition to any home decor, showcasing the art pottery production technique of the time. The bowl is a beautiful scalloped design with ornate handles. I believe this is ceramic or it could be semi-porcelain, which the brand is known for. This RD Number was produced in 1936. The RD Number is 01782 818981. I believe the design is a transfer rather than hand painted but I could be wrong.
This is a smaller set so it would be nice on a vanity with some flowers. It measures 10" tall while inside the bowl, the width of the pitcher is 9.5" from spout to handle, 6" depth and 9" tall outside of the bowl. The bowl is 11" x 9.5 x 3.75"
THIS IS FOR DECOR ONLY IT HAS CRAZING. I would not use it as a drink pitcher. There are no chips, scratches, or other damage other than the crazing which is on the pitcher and the bowl.
