Thrashed/trashed/relic-ed. This tote bag has mojo. Provenance: It has lived the length of the state. It came into our possession in Southern Maine, discovered in an old closet, and carried library books and groceries. It moved to Eastern Maine and carried cookout food, ice, and beer. Finally the tote arrived in Aroostook County and lugged tools. Most recently a vessel for several rusty hammers and punches (see the inside iron oxide patina). We carefully washed the bag to remove dirt and sawdust, but preserved the look. The construction, stitching, and tag indicate a vintage bag, probably mid-90s, but possibly 80s. Measuring tape pictures are from before it was cleaned.
