Vintage American Style California Pottery and Ceramics Decorative Piece - Very Cottage Granny Core Shabby Chic Aesthetic This vintage figurine features a charming pink thistle design on an ivory-colored ceramic elephant, with a trunk up position for good luck! Very unusual piece to see in an elephant, usually I've only seen these in cow creamers, or old cookie jars. The pink thistle flowers on the figurine makes it a unique addition to any collection. The elephant stands at 6 inches tall and measures 8 inches wide, making it a nice cabinet sized piece for any elephant collector. The figurine is made of ceramic material and sealed with a fired-on glaze. There are no cracks or chips or repairs in this piece. I do note some usual crazing in the glazed finish that is common with pottery of this age. I estimate it is circa late 1940's to 1950's per the style of ceramic.
