Different state, different decade, no reason it should have meant anything. Turns out it was painted by my grandmother's childhood friend. Both women had been gone before this internet existed. That's what vintage is. Not just old stuff. Proof that someone lived. My grandmother never wasted anything. She taught me that age was something to respect, not replace. I think about that every time I pick up a piece, whether it's a wool coat or a mixing bowl that's clearly made ten thousand Sunday mornings better. Everything here got chosen because something stopped me - color, construction, the feeling that it mattered to someone once. Clothing, homewares, the occasional object that defies category. Each piece arrives clean, measured, and photographed honestly. These aren't things that end up in the back of the closet or the back of the cabinet. 🧵
