Can the top adjust a lot in the back to get smaller?

@jackieshapin Hi, thank you for your interest! It seems like the back can be adjusted about 2 inches from the most it can be lengthened to the shortest length. I believe the back is lengthened as much as it can be in the photos shown above and therefore could be adjusted to be about 2 inches smaller.
