Brilliant Sherman flower or star brooch

Here is a lovely midcentury brooch by the renowned designer Gustave Sherman, who founded his jewelry firm in Montreal in the 1940s, producing quality pieces using the finest crystal and glass stones and findings. Appreciaton for Sherman jewelry has grown exponentially since the firm ceased production about 50 years ago. This iconic piece, measuring about 1-1/3 inches in diameter, features stones of several shapes that are all securely hand prong-set. It is slightly dome shaped, which I believe enhances its beauty. It features the cursive Sherman signature on the back, and a rollover safety clasp that still functions perfectly. The brooch is in very good condition, with the only imperfecton I can see being that one of the smallest stones doesn't seem to be quite as clear as the rest.
