A gorgeous love token hand engraved with a portrait of a seated cat. This coin is a ‘seated Liberty’ dime, which is made of 90% silver and was popular for hand carving love tokens. This coin was minted in 1888, and was presumably carved sometime around then, in the 1800s. The cat has a subtle, sly smile with delicate features like whiskers and individual little toes! There is a milgrain border around the kitty. This coin has no hole or bail! You could drill it and add a jump ring, or take it to a jeweler to add a bail or even bezel set it. A few dents/ dings commensurate with age. A beautiful and unique piece of history!
