Vtg Silk Square Maritime/Nautical Theme Scarf, 30", Cruise, Travel, Vacation

This is a vintage silk square scarf. Tags have been removed, so I'm unable to determine the designer. Approximate dimensions: 30" x 30" Condition: Very good with some slight loosening of the weave at the edges, as shown. Color: Dark navy (almost black) background with subtle horizontal stripes. Features: Rope border with decorative colored rings (grommets/eyelets) at the corners. Ship's wheels in the four corners. Central cluster of anchors. Assorted international and signal flags (including Japanese, US, French, Danish, Swedish, etc.) arranged radially or in groups. Such nautical motifs (flags, anchors, wheels, ropes) are extremely common on scarves from the mid-to-late 20th century, often aimed at a yacht club/preppy/coastal audience.
