This highly collectible piece features a striking, hand-painted owl perched on a branch, executed in dark slip over a beautiful light grey/white crackle glaze. The interior contrast perfectly complements the heavily textured, rustic, unglazed dark clay body on the rim and reverse—a prime example of 1950s/1960s European Brutalist design.
True Studio Pottery Marks:
The reverse is fully authenticated, featuring the hand-incised "GROVE" signature alongside the studio's distinctive, finely carved bird logo.
