Measures: 5.5" x 3.5" Vintage chrome postcard featuring a detailed interior view of the Protestant Chapel at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, Colorado. The image showcases the chapel's striking mid-century modern architecture — soaring A-frame aluminum spires, floor-to-ceiling stained glass panels in blue-green tones, and a large congregation of cadets and civilian guests seated in wooden pews during an active service. The altar, floral arrangements, and an American flag are visible at the chancel. • Type: Chrome (glossy color photo-offset), standard size 3.5" × 5.5" • Publisher: Sanborn Souvenir Co. • Printer: Dexter Press, Inc. (prominent mid-century chrome publisher) • Postally used / postmarked July 22, 1965 • Condition: Very Good (VG) — slight corner wear consistent with grade; image side clean and color bright Note for postal history collectors: postmarked 1965, placing this in the ZIP code era (post-July 1963). Dexter Press was one of the dominant chrome-era publishers, widely collected alongside Mike Roberts and Plastichrome. Subject crossover appeal: USAFA / military collectibles, mid-century modern architecture, Colorado Springs topographical, religious/chapel interiors, Air Force cadets, 1960s Americana. Both sides photographed. Shipped securely in a toploader with cardboard sandwich. Combined shipping available — add cards and save.
