Vintage linen postcard depicting the Fordyce Baths at Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, circa 1930s. The front shows the exterior of the historic Romanesque Revival bathhouse with ornate arched windows, striped awnings, manicured hedges, and ornamental street lamps. Caption reads: "FORDYCE BATHS. BATHS UNDER SUPERVISION OF U. S. GOVERNMENT. DEPT. OF INTERIOR." Published by Mrs. F. C. Boving, catalog number 34436. Standard 3.5 x 5.5 inch linen-weave postcard with candy-color dye inks typical of the 1930-1945 era. Condition is VG+ with bright image, vivid colors, and only minor corner/edge wear. Unused and unposted. The Fordyce Bathhouse is one of the most architecturally elaborate structures on Bathhouse Row and today serves as the visitor center for Hot Springs National Park. A desirable piece for Arkansas topographical, roadside Americana, and national park collectors. Card will be sleeved, sandwiched in cardboard, and shipped securely.
