Stunning Vintage Silk Haori Kimono Jacket – Crimson & White Kanoko Shibori

This gorgeous vintage Haori Kimono Jacket features a striking dark red and white pattern crafted using traditional Kanoko Shibori (tie-dye). Kanoko translates to “fawn spots," named for its resemblance to the spots on a young deer. True Kanoko Shibori is an incredibly labor-intensive, intricate technique where each tiny square dot is bound entirely by hand with thread before dyeing to resist the color, creating a wonderful, puckered texture. The white dots form a beautiful Kumo (cloud-like) pattern across the deep crimson. OSFM: Measures 23.5” from the back, underarm to underarm and 29” long. A spectacular, lightweight statement piece to wear open over modern outfits. Or tied, as I’ve styled it in some photos. Tie not included — my other haori jackets are priced higher because they are sold as an ensemble with an Obijime cord. Fully lined in white silk with a soft pink floral motif. Excellent Vintage Condition, just a few, very minor discoloration spots in lining, commensurate with age (see last photo). Price is firm on this one, thanks 🙏🏻
