Vintage Designer’s Touch Straw Wide Brim Sun Hat owned by Jo Ann Allen Boyce

Vintage Designer’s Touch Exclusive straw sun hat with structured wide brim, ribbon trim, and classic boater-inspired shape. Neutral tan/light brown with taupe-gray trim and cream edge detail. Good vintage condition with light age marks/speckling and minor ribbon wrinkling shown in photos. Purchased from the estate sale of Jo Ann Allen Boyce, a civil rights pioneer and member of the Clinton 12, the group of Black students who integrated Clinton High School in Tennessee in 1956. She later became a pediatric nurse and co-authored This Promise of Change, a children’s book about her experience. Provenance noted by seller; no certificate of authenticity included.
