CHANEL 2 HAUTE COUTURE Piece Red & Black Dress with Jacket Suit Ensemble FW 1986

Iconic CHANEL Haute Couture two-piece dress suit in bold lipstick red and mod-black. Sophisticated vintage runway appeal designed by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel’s Fall/Winter show in 1986. Both pieces are in pristine condition, have their original Chanel Haute Couture labels, and match documented runway looks from the 1986 collection (see photo of model Veronica Webb). The jacket has black shearling accents and gold CC wheat buttons, as does the dress, which looks smart with coordinating color-blocking and couture details. This ensemble has been stored since acquisition in a spruce climate-controlled environment; my mother-in-law purchased this in Paris in 1986 and is a size 12 US.
